I really like PeopleString and it has become a strong addition to our online portfolio.

At first I was very skeptical but they have taken thier time and done things right. The new social portal is a hit and keeping up with Myspace and FaceBook as far as traffic.

I haven't had to change or download anything to use the portal and I use it to access my favorite sites on the net. It has been integrated nicely with the other social networks so all I have to do is click the link and I am on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Yahoo, Gmail or any of the other major sites I visit everyday. The only difference is that I now earn revenue when I visit them.

I also like the MailBox-Cashbox program that is another free revenue option to participate in. Nothing better than getting paid to open your junk mail. We are not talking pennies and half cents either but dollars.

So my recommendation is that you sign up for a PeopleString portal. It's free and you don't have to do anything different. You are on the net anyway so you might as well earn while you are. The social network is top notch and is still not fully completed. I can't wait for the finished product. It should blow the others away.

Are you doing everything you can to increase traffic to your web site? Well, check this list of no-cost/low-cost things you can do RIGHT NOW to find out. Then get started developing your web site traffic so you can sell more products/services -- today!

1) Develop a Traffic Attitude

Most people are approaching the web passively. They put up a web site. They wait. Nothing happens. They complain. Or even, ridiculously, pull off the web, like it's the web's fault that 60 million people didn't drop by before breakfast.

If you want traffic, you've got to work for traffic. That means developing the Traffic Attitude. This attitude consists of the following parts:

. recognition that the web doesn't promote itself
. determination to master web promotion
. decision to find every conceivable means of building your traffic, and
. use them all -- every single day!!!

2) Post -- Daily

Did you post today? Yesterday? The day before? Probably not! There's a problem right there. I'm a 365-day-poster. I post every day whether I feel like it or not (and, believe me, on those cold New England mornings, I most assuredly do NOT feel like it!). Reason? Because

. you can get unlimited postings
. they're free
. you get a steady stream of prospects
. by working with these prospects properly you get a steady stream of qualified prospects and, ultimately, sales.

In other words, postings work.

The key?

. Developing client-centered benefits for your postings. Push BENEFITS, not features.
. Making sure that each heading in your posting leads with that benefit.
. Also making sure that the body of the posting further develops your main, or subsidiary benefits, while providing all the means necessary for your prospects to connect with you NOW.

Postings work because they excite prospects with the value/benefit that you have available... and provide these prospects with everything they need to know to connect with you.

On days when you don't post, you're thwarting your own traffic. Not smart.

3) List Free Classifieds -- Daily

There are so many places on the Internet to get free classifieds, it's staggering. How to find them? Easy. Go to AltaVista or Yahoo or HotBot or any of the other search engines and enter "Free classifieds." Hundreds of places will come up.

Now start reviewing them looking for the right places for what you're selling. Then list. Set yourself an objective, five a day is good. Use your scrap time. This mindless work; do it when you're not at your mental peak.

Note: free classified ads at most Internet sites expire after a certain amount of time. That's why you have to keep returning to renew your free ads. 4) Take Advantage of Free Links

While you're looking for free classifieds, you're also going to find places that provide free links. What's the difference?

Classifieds and space ads provide information enabling the prospect to connect with you. Ordinarily you get to say more, but there's no point and click connection to your site. On the other hand, with a link, all you've got to do is click on the link and the prospect is immediately connected to your site.

When you add a link, you're usually allowed a few words (a dozen or less) to describe it. Think about these words carefully. What you want to post is a BENEFIT, not just a descriptive feature. In other words, what's the prospect going to get when she visits your site? The better the benefit, the more visitors you'll get!

5) Take Advantage of Paid Links

Everybody likes the free stuff, but there's something you should know. Many of the free sites get miniscule traffic, as you can see in an instant from their traffic counters (if they even dare to post one). That's why you should also use paid links.

You want to be associated with high traffic malls and web sites that do extensive on- and off-net advertising. If the company is aggressively advertising its web properties and bringing in traffic, and if they reach the kinds of people you want to reach, why, then, you need a link -- even if you have to pay for it.

That's why if you're smart you'll not only put your URL on all your marketing communications but will also insist on presenting the chief benefit of visiting your site, too.

You see, on every single marketing communication you use -- I don't care whether it's a tee-shirt or a four-color brochure -- you need to present the most important client-centered benefit of your site... as well as the means of accessing it, the URL.

Thus, include chief benefits like this,

. Lose 30 pounds in 30 days!
. Make $100,000+ in commodities this year!
. Reduce your travel costs everywhere you go!
. Benefit from over 1/4 MILLION visitors a month!

Get the drift? Lead with benefits... follow with features (the URL address). Both are essential to traffic building.

8) Develop A Response Template

Are you annoyed by unsolicited e-mail? I was, too, until I got smart about it. I figured these people were just a new kind of prospect. Thus, I developed a series of response templates in which I made the benefits of what I was selling very plain. Such a response template should include

. an offer
. benefits of what you're selling
. product/service descriptions
. client-centered testimonials
. complete purchase information, and, of course
. complete information about your web site!

In other words, a response template is the best kind of client-centered marketing communication.

9) Send The Response Template To Every Unsolicited E-Mail You Receive

When you wake up in the morning, go through all the unsolicited e-mail you get and instead of just trashing it, send your response template. Just by clicking a button you'll be getting YOUR information into the hands of new prospects. Sure some of it is going to bounce back to you right away because you may be answering an auto-responder. Not to worry. Marketing is and always will be a numbers game.

If you've got something the prospect wants, something that's rich with benefits and offers real value, then that prospect is going to respond... no matter how you heard about him (or how he connected with you) in the first place. This method is more socially responsible than sending the kind of response hate mail that so many people unaccountably find acceptable. And, yes, you will increase your site traffic and make sales -- so long as you promote the value of your site and the substance of your offerings in every response template you create.

10) Don't Slack Off

It's easy to be lazy. Sloth is seductive. But when you stop building traffic, you start cutting the value of your Web site. That's not my way... and it shouldn't be yours. Building traffic on the Internet is an exciting, high energy game. With very valuable pay-offs. Which get bigger every day.

A recent interview on "Adam Smith" on the Public Broadcasting Network with senior Microsoft officials show-cased the Chief Technologist of Gates' galloping giant predicting that within 5 years (at the most~!) traffic on the Internet would be 100 TIMES what it is today! Indeed, he went further, to say that the growth of the Internet was being "undervalued" by industry experts.

What does this mean? A traffic, and by extension, a sales bonanza for you... if, and only if, you'll do what's necessary to make sure that a growing percentage of this burgeoning traffic gets to you and your web site.

In other words, get crackin'. And keep this report prominently displayed so you'll remind yourself of all that you can do... and all the benefits that result when you do it!

As many of you know I took a chance and joined PeopleString because I felt it had future potential as a moneymaker. It also doesn't cost anything so there was no risk on anyone's part to be a free member. I continue to be impressed by the program. SFI/Triple Clicks is now my main program but this does not distract me from it as it literally builds itself as more people learn about it. Mr. 'Great Vision' and CEO of BigString, Darin Myman was on the call along with Bruce. He went on to update us.

The first thing Bruce and Myman wanted to let us know is to NOT make this more complicated than what it is. He says, JUST SHARE THE PEOPLE STRING STORY.!

They are currently working on deals to turn on the spigot for CashBox/MailBox to bring in advertising revenues for us - F.r.e.e. and Entrepreneur members. There are payments/ profit sharing being sent out NOW, from the other modules!

They are testing creatives (advertising look and feel and content) with large marketing corporations.

Tomorrow they will begin developing (coding) the self-replication portal page that each of us will own. The design has been completed but the engine will be dropped in any day now. So keep your eyes wide open! We will be able to login to all major social networks and email providers (MySpace, FaceBook, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc) from our portal page. We will be able to add our 'quicklinks' and 'favorites' as well.

The BETA Portal will be available by end of next week. Well thus far they have been ahead of schedule with their promises so we will stay logged in all day as we have in the past week. We are excited about what is to come as it is sure better than what has been!

Darin also went on to announce that they are adding 250 more stores in Cash Back Shopping and you will see them on a scale of 10-20/day.

PeopleString is now starting to get transactions with coupon merchants and due to everyone's awesome efforts in bringing in so many stringers, better deals are being presented every day.

So how is that for a no-brainer?

People Points - HUH?

Remember to log in every 30 days if you want to get paid. The more you use the backoffice, the more 'People Points' you will accrue. People Points determines the split of ad revenues you will get. Didn't know that? Well now you do!

How can you get 'People Points'?

Search, send email, log-in, shop and other activities related to PeopleString as they are rolled out to us.

How many 'People Points' do you have?

Well some Entrepreneurs on the call last night have 100, 200, and even 250 PPs. We have 280 PPs because we actually use the awesome People String platform every day multiple times a day.

How does this shopping thing works and how can we get our cash back?

When you shop at any of the Cash Back Shopping merchants and your order is shipped, your order will be recorded by the merchant as belonging to People String. They will then batch all PeopleString members' purchases and send a report to People String. People String will reconcile this report with their in-house database. Then you will see your cash back displayed under transactions in your backoffice / portal!

How does the MailBox/CashBox revenue generator works?

When you sign up as a member, the first thing that you should do is click on 'MailBox CashBox' to take your first survey. If you don't do it, you will be missing out on some cash.

Take that brief survey.

After the survey is complete, PeopleString will wait until they get a batch of surveys and then send out bulkmail to each of us via Postal Mail. The card you receive in the mail will contain a special unique code for you.

Log back into your portal / backoffice and enter that unique code where prompted. This is how you complete your postal address confirmation process.

PeopleString has deals with Direct Marketers. These DMs will make payments to PeopleString to bring in the revenue which we will share in.

How is money made / tracked for MailBox CashBox?

We will receive 1-2 pieces of mail each day or so. There will be many types of mailings...

1. Direct Cards (pay to receive 20 - 50 cents just for receiving the cards), some cards will have codes which you have to enter through your PeopleString portal - backoffices and some with website addresses which you must click thru to receive cash.

2. Co-Op Mailings. These are those mailings you see with multiple merchants advertising offers on them. $2.50 - $3.00 . They too have codes you must enter.

3. Valu-Paks - surely you have seen these. They consist of 1 envelope with 25-30 offers stuffed in them. We get more cash for these.

There will be great travel, products, and services sent to us regularly. You get them anyway so now get paid for them.

BigString / PeopleString emphasized that they are not doing anything new in this regards. Nothing for sale ... nothing really new to pay for.

The GOLD in their business model is that they are 'Disrupting' a cash flow that is going somewhere it doesn't belong. Yahoo, Google, MySpace, FaceBook, MSN and others are marketing AT us. PeopleString is marketing WITH us. When was the last time, MySpace, or any other social network sent you some c.a.s.h. in the mail? We thought so. wink.gif

PeopleString is creating an aggregation of people on the internet to show advertisers that the eyeballs are had with PeopleString. The more ad revenue for PeopleString, the more for us ... its members.

Bruce said, there are 4 components to success here:

1. HUGE Opportunity -- Will be B I G
2. Gotta Be Easy to Follow or Do. It can't be yet another job for us.
3. From a global economics standpoint, "Kill The Middleman"
4. F.R.E.E. F.R.E.E. F.R.E.E.

Now as we know MailBox CashBox will not be available in every region of the world. But the good news is that PeopleString will monetize in almost every country. If not by Postal Mail, then by emails, the portal, banner ads shopping, and other advertising models. It is truly not cost-effective to bulkmail to China, for example, on a regular basis. And Postal Mail will not work in Nigeria, for example, since the current infrastructure makes is next to impossible to 'monetize or empower'.

BigString is rolling out and translating their product offerings already. We believe they said Portuguese, Traditional/Simplified Chinese, and German at least.

No Time For What?

Sometimes we have to hear it from others before it makes sense. How much time do we really waste during the day? How much more could we really get accomplished by eliminating distractions?

Here's an interesting summation from my friend Bill Carr over at Traffic Hoopla. It really makes a lot of sense.

PeopleString update

I received my address verification card today from PeopleString. Entered the code and poof, I was verified. I did notice that the zip code was wrong so I fired off an email to support to have it corrected.

So far it has been a great day. Not only did I get the much awaited verification card but also received a commission check from SFI. Yes, always glad to get those.

Getting cash with your junk mail.

Someone sent me this and I had to take a while to digest it. After I did, it made practical sense to me. I get a lot of junk postal mail so why not get paid for it.

Once again do your due diligence and check out the company. The parent company's stock symbol is BSGC. It's free to signup so not much risk. The idea is one that could take off as many companies already pay for consumer input. However, this does not appear to be one of those scam survey company sites so I feel a bit more confident about it's long term future. ASD, Shut down by feds

Another one bites the dust! Can't say I was caught by surprise but I did think it might make it into 2009. Many of you have read by now that ASD had it's assets frozen by the federal government. And of course this will start the usual slew of blame and lawsuits from those who lost money.

I was one who didn't want to play at first but finally let curiosity get the best of me. I know, swore of such programs since getting burned with 12 daily pro. Fortunately, this time was a little different. My sponsor paid me into ASD and I am only out of pocket 20 dollars from alert pay.

Bottom line on this one is that many of us let our greed get the best of us. Companies like ASD never last but do provide a mesure of fun for those who like to take a risk. As I always advise ... do your own due diligence and NEVER "RISK MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE.

Unfortunately, this time I didn't follow my own advice.

ASD: The True Story

Sometimes bad experiences in a program come from problems that have more to do with outside sources than with the company itself. My recent foray into ASD was a perfect example.

My initial frustrations stemmed from the inability to get my ad packages purchases made with Alertpay credited to my account . The slow response to my support tickets only helped fuel my discontent and their replies ticked me off even more.

To make a long story short rather than go off and start posting negative rants in various forums, I chose to contact my sponsor who actually funded my account with a large ad package purchase. Not only am I happy at earning some good advertising rebates everyday but the fact that my sponsor would pay me forward left a lasting impression on me.

As always do your due diligence. I am of a mind that nothing comes without risk. I wouldn't go out and spend my life savings on this. Don't risk the whole farm but perhaps a few chickens you might not miss.

Kicking Myself

Earlier this month I allowed myself to give in to all the
"cheerleading" about a popular revenue program.
I had vowed a couple of years ago to never again venture
into the realm of paid to surf no matter how great
they dressed it up. Well, I did, and I have no one
to blame but myself for what has or hasn't transpired.

This month I had some extra alertpay funds so I decided "what the heck." I jumped into ASD, a program similar to 12daly pro in nature but designed to be more sound and legal. I didn't upgrade at first but decided to on the 12th after reading about the success others were having with the rebate program. The transaction was supposed to showup immediately but never did. The next day I filed a support request which to date(25th of June)has not been opened.

Usually I would bash such a program that can't even open a support ticket within 13 days. However, I can only surmise that perhaps they are too busy for customer support. Maybe it has a problem with the alertpay interface or maybe I should have sent my money by direct mail. Whatever the case, rather than bash it for the many who seem to be doing very well with it, I'll hold my tongue for now. Perhaps it is just the lingering wounds of 12daily pro that fuel my doubts about this. At any rate, I'd hate to be unfair to any seemingly legitimate program just because of problems with a payment processor. Nevertheless, decide for yourself whether ASD is for you or not.

Any money you can keep in your pockets nowadays can
be extra cash for things like gas and groceries.

Since last year I have been using a discount

It's come in handy on many occasions and we've

Just got the below from my upline. Turns out that the “switch to Web 2.0” programme is a scam. I myself wondered how one could change all websites on the ‘net by the click of one button. I don’t think it is technically feasible, but.. I thought it was no harm, as they open on July 1st. Well, I’ve had many folks join. And read the below and decide for yourself.

Luckily we caught this one early and if we spread the word fast we can ensure that nobody gets hurt. The End Of Our Gibline Test

The power of social networking as a marketing tool is an established fact.
"Gibline" touted itself as combining everything into one package...business opportunity,networking,blogging,etc. Although it seems like a good idea we have
decided not to renew our subscription to Gibline.

Here's our details:
1 $50 dollar position with no referrals. $19.40 in earnings.

Granted we were not in during the first week of prelaunch. We got in
a few weeks later but still early. Either way we can't justify
spending $200 a year for the service.

Our synopsis. Like everything "timing" and a PRO position may have
made a difference. However, there just seems to be way too

Perspective on Pay Per Play

I've been watching the promotion of a new PPP (pay per play) advertising program and wondering whether or not it will be a viable medium as an advertising platform. I don't just jump into things anymore so I have been doing a bit of due diligence to check things out. What I have found on PPP has not been kind. If PPP seems a bit familiar it's because a few years ago there was a company called "Voice2Page" that was touting it. Now it seems to have morphed into a new company "NetAudioAds" that is touting it as something that will replace Google Adsense.

I personally find automatic audio a bit obtrusive and many traffic exchanges will not accept sites with automatic audio. I seriously doubt that it will pose any threat at all to Google even if does manage to get off the ground. My search also indicated that a lot of former affiliates for Voice2Page have not been paid. If a company is not sincere enough to square things with former affiliates I doubt that it will last long enough to be square with the new ones.

Still, I allways advise people to do their own "due diligence". Here is an article that may help you get started.

Blame Yourself Sometimes

Do you ever handle things and then find out that you didn't handle them?

I recently decided to cancel an auto-responder account I wasn't using
effectively enough to warrant keeping. Following the terms of service,
I submitted a support ticket to cancel the account. Meanwhile I'm thinking
I'll get an email confirmation of account closure later. I actually forgot
about until I got a notice that my account had been charged for another 30 days.

I was livid at first for I was sure that I had canceled the account. When I logged into the still active account I discovered that the answer to my support ticket had not been a cancellation but instead instructions on how to cancel. Turns out I had to manually cancel the billing subscription for the account myself through PayPal.

You'd think they would just put that in the terms of service instead of making you go through a useless support ticket to cancel. However, I have used PayPal enough that I should know that some subscriptions have to be canceled by the buyer. In the end, I can only blame myself.

Almost There - 2008

We started our annual clearance "cleaning" and as such
have unloaded the programs that have been unprofitable for us
in 2007. It's a good idea to look at your own portfolio
at least once a year and do the same. So often we keep things
and programs thinking they are going to produce. Let's face it,
if you have had a chicken for a year and it's not clucking by now,
it probably never will. Here's a few we got rid of:

Mentors Club-- Good concept but just not clicking for us.

CashDevelopment.ws-- Or is it .com? Too much confusion over there.
On again...off again...needs stability.

YourCashCow-- We really liked this one but the numbers just weren't there
for us. We thought it would be stiff competition for GDI
but that whole segment is declining. YourCashCow had the
better package in our opinion but still who wants to pay
for overpriced hosting anymore. Too many better deals out
there that make both opportunities less appealing.

What we kept:

NPN-- Say what you will. Three years and still going strong.This chicken
clucks every month for us since we started using NPNpower group.

MyWorld-- Not quite at the income level we want to be at but still produces
month after month.

Gibline-- his one just started in October and shows good promise so we are carrying it forward with much hope for the future. Those guys have a sound vision for the future so we hope it be a keeper next year at this time.

AmeriPlan-- Rock solid and stable for 15 years. Since healthcare costs are rising more and more people are looking for viable ways to save money and not compromise the quality of healthcare they receive.

So we look forward to the future of 2008.

Not to worry, it was purely a financial decision.

Using Squueze Pages

All of us have used the affiliate pages provided by the
various programs we join. While that may work at first
when everyone starts doing the same thing it soon starts
to lose it's effectiveness. Why? Simple saturation.
Prospects see it so much they start to ignore it.
For instance, I have received far more signups in
MyWorldPlus from using my own little splash page
than the company affiliate page.

Which brings me to using squeeze pages. Squeeze pages
are similar to splash pages but are designed more for
list building. The object is not to get someone to buy
right away but rather to sign up or subscribe for more
info. You can then slowly introduce them to your product
or program. That is why the so called "gurus" have a leg
up on everybody. The actual "super duper looptie secret"
they are trying to sell is not the true secret to their
success. They rather have built such large lists that
even if they only get a 1% response -THEY MAKE BUNDLES.

So about what makes a squeeze page effective at getting
visitors to subscribe rather than click away. Probably
the most important is the layout of the page. Creating a
good template for your squeeze page and testing and
tweaking it can take quite a bit of time.

All of the time you spend doing that will cost you
subscribers as you work to get your squeeze page
converting properly. After all if only 2% of your
visitors sign up instead of 20% you have lost quite
a few chances to get people to return.

Is saving really earning?

Many have asked me this recently. If you save $2000 a month is it the same as earning $2000 a month? To me it seems obvious.

Look at your bottom line or any bottom line from any business. At the end of the day cash in minus cash out is the profit for the day. If I took in $3000 and only spent $2000 don't I have a $1000 in profit.

" Is it worth it?"
I get this a question a lot from prospects when they enquire about MyWorldPlus.
My answer is always a resounding yes. I have never been in a company where the product has had so much value. Each and every month I have saved way more than the cost of my monthly membership without doing any different shopping.

I have been in companies before where the product was useful but not everyone had a use for it.
I mean not everyone wants to drink this juice or take that vitamin. The discount card can be used by anybody to save on the stuff they were going to buy anyway. It's like those savings cards the grocery stores give you except you can use it at a lot more places.

Officially Launched

I just received a letter that solidified something I had been suspecting could happen for a few weeks now. Today, Better Universe, the company formerly known as Movie Club Plus " ceased" operations. My title references the epic last words of the mighty Julius Caesar as many will feel betrayed by the sudden closing of what seemed a reputable biz.

My suspicions began late last year when Better Universe stopped having conference calls. Communications began to fall off and when I recognized the names of several prominent members joining another company Savings Highway I felt that something was happening at Better Universe. Because I recognized this as not a good sign, I too started cutting my losses and went back to free member. I had hoped it would end differently but the warning signs were too much to ignore.

What makes it harder to stomach is that the CEO, Steve Gresham, seemed like a really spiritual, "honest" type of guy who was trying to do some good for a change. Don't know know what really happened , so I won't waste time hurling accusations. Suffice it to say, I was able to cut my losses by learning from past experience to watch the signs.

At any rate, what's done is done. Better Universe has imploded and I have moved on to a new planet, MyWorld.

New Year , New Vision, Better Results

I have started out the new year by continuing to cut my losses and by returning to the basics. Already, I'm getting results from my new marketing campaigns.

I realized last year that I had gotten away from the basic things like list building. I spent too much time chasing the hyip and paid surf trend losing a lot of money,like a lot of people did. This year I have started to focus more on building my own personal lists not someone elses and traffic generation.

I found two killer opportunities and fine tuned my traffic campaigns for massive action. I am already getting signups into those programs.

One of the programs is MyWorldPlus and it has plenty of merit. The major product is something everyone can use, a discount card. I don't know anyone who doesn't like to save money or earn money. With MyWorldPlus you can do both at the same time. Response has been fabulous and I believe it will be a star in 2007.

The other is LoftyProfits which only cost me a one time $49 fee and I stand to make some good money once the program launches. I don't like it as much as MyWorldPlus but it does have merit.

December Brings Promise

As the year ends I am always optimistic of my fortunes come the new year. As each year ends I wonder just what could I have done different to have made it more profitable. In the past I have kicked myself for missing out on the various "opportunities of a life time" that come across my desk. Most are not worth the effort it takes to delete them but always appears to be one or two that I should have joined rather than being too skeptical. Although I am one who has learned to keep his wallet closed I do realize that sometimes you have to spend money to earn money.

Unless of course you can find opportunities that let you earn without spending.

Turns out two such opportunities came across my desk this week and I joined them both. Each has merit as potential money makers and being in early is a plus.

The first is Agloco and it will be a monster if it is anything like the program it is based on, AllAdvantage. If you don't remember that name it was the first of the browser portals several years that paid people to run it while they were online. A lot of people earned huge checks with AllAdvantage and I for one am glad to see someone bring the concept back. Agloco should make a lot of happy in the same way.

The second is also a retread of sorts in my mind. BestCashRewards is just a few weeks old but people have started to hear about it and join. It sort of reminds me of the old Iconference where you could set up a conference room and people could visit your room and see what you had to offer or just chat, etc. BestCashRewards differs in that Marketers(seminar givers) will pay to use conference rooms and seminar viewers(prospects) will be compensated for attending the seminar given by the marketer. Very interesting concept for the internet. Seems to work offline as several industries already use a similar concept. I know more than a few who have purchased time shares that way.

As usual do your due diligence but since you aren't risking anything both of these programs could be great additions to your portfolio for the new year.

I often wonder how I got by so long without it. I can now finally say that I am in the high speed legion. I once thought I can do without and was willing to wait for DSL in my area. Unfortunately, the phone company said that wasn't going to happen anytime soon and my dailup became so slow (26k) that I spent far too much time waiting for page loads. Valueable time that one can not afford to waste.

That brings me to my point for today- always put yourself in the best position to earn. My online efforts had become so stagnant that my profits were suffering. Just imagine the amount of time it took me to do even trivial tasks at 26k. Time that could have been better spent working on ways to promote, etc.

If your supposed 56k connection has degraded to 26k as mine had, do yourself a favor- upgrade. I used Cognigen to find what was available in my area. Not only did I see all my available options but it turns out I was even able to help the installer find satellite internet for himself. I found that odd but apparently he lived in an area that cable internet wasn't available yet.

In the past I highly recommended autosurfs as a way to make some easy cash. Until the stormpay/12dp debacle I was in several myself and starting to earn regular payments. After 12dp was closed and stormpay froze accounts many owners used that as an excuse to shut down their own sites and "abscond" with their members funds. This left us all peaved, frustrated and short on cash.

Throughout that whole mess there were a few owners who struggled to do the right thing even at their own financial peril. One of those owners was Dave of DadnDaves. I for one greatly appreciated his efforts especially when he used his won funds to keep his site afloat through the rough waters following the stormpay mess. He truly inspired my faith in him and his business practices.

I am often annoyed when I see such claims but I am equally amazed in that rare case when it turns out to be true. The new Receipts Rebate program from Better Universe is one of those rare cases.

SEC now involved in 12dailyPro debacle

From bad to worse. Looks like the owners of 12DP may be up for a ride up the river.

Washington D.C., Feb.27, 2006 — The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the filing of securities fraud charges against the operators of www.12dailypro.com, a “paid autosurf program” that in fact was a massive Ponzi scheme which raised more than $50 million from over 300,000 investors worldwide by offering a 44% return on investment in just 12 days. As a result of the SEC’s charges, the defendants, Charis Johnson, age 33, of Charlotte, N.C., and her companies, 12daily Pro and LifeClicks, LLC, ceased their solicitation of investors and agreed to a freeze of all their assets and the appointment of a receiver who will take control of the companies’ operations.

There are still those who still hold out hope of getting some money back but what Stormpay hasn't frozen the SEC will surely tie up in litigation.

The Plot Thickens

StormPay has wreaked havoc across the autosurf industry. There is talk of a class action suit against them because of frozen accounts. At first it seemed that StormPay was questioning the legality of the autosurf business model but now allegations have surfaced that StormPay did this because it does not have the funds to cover accounts with various autosurfs.

Whatever the case, many will suffer because of this debacle and it is just one more example as to why you should never put all eggs in one basket.

StormPay Flexing Muscle To Prevent Fraud

When I started my daily surfing ritual at 12dailyPro I was amused to see that Stormpay was now their only payment processor. When I saw the same at 50cents2surf and actually read the annoucement.( included below ) I found it quite astonishing..

Will other processors adopt similar policies? I really like Stormpay but I hope this is not starting some "bidding war". I see the need for security but what if Visa told all stores that they could only accept Visa and no other credit cards. Is this a disturbing trend? I hope not as this could really hurt the online industry especially autosurfing. Still you have to commend them for seeking a solution to the rampant fraud in our industry.

Here is the statement from Stormpay:

Due to high volumes of fraudulent transactions made to

merchants with commission based business models, StormPay

can no longer process payments for those type of merchants

who choose to accept more than one payment processing

solution.

Using more than one payment processor is exactly the

situation that “fraud” seeks out. This enables the

fraudulent user to set up a fake profile with either of the

processors, make a purchase or join the program, and then

withdraw their earnings to the other processor where the

real identity is used. This sort of activity makes it nearly

impossible for either processor, or law enforcement to

properly handle the fraud because the “trail” comes to an

end. This is the cause for a great many chargebacks to those

merchants which can be avoided.

As of 1/30/2006 StormPay must require Merchants with a

commissioned based business model who choose to accept

StormPay, to only accept StormPay. StormPay certainly does

not wish to dictate how our merchants run their business,

all merchants are free to choose any processing solution

that best suits their needs. We understand you have choices

and certainly hope that choice is the online leader –

StormPay. However, if another payment solution is used,

please immediately remove StormPay from the associated

website as a funding option and continue to use the StormPay

account funds to finish payments to those members who paid

using their StormPay account.

New Years Resolutions

I hope everyone has had a great start to the new year. Like many, I found myself bogged down towards the end of last year. So much so that I had to take a look at everything I was doing and adjust my priorities. I found many areas where time was just being wasted without enhancing my ability to make a profit. That is why we do this after all-to make a profit. Hence then my resolution for 2006 has been to become more focused on those areas that are enhancing my ability to make a profit.

If you read the how-to books from many of the success "gurus" you will find one common concept that stands out- "writing down your goals is a critical factor to success". To put it more plainly- goals that aren't written down are just "dreams".

I urge all of you to clearly define your goals for 2006. Write them down and post them around your home and that way they will always be fresh on your mind. It's amazing how the subconscious mind works to affect the conscious world. No doubt 2006 will be a more prosperous year for all of us. I will expound upon this in future posts.

If there is one thing that makes a network marketer feel good it is a program that works. While I am in several programs that have promise and are starting to generate profits, 12DailyPro has been a consistent money maker for me. Since I joined last month it has consistently paid me. I can't say that for most of the other autosurfs I am in.

Autosurfing is becoming a trend on the internet as one does not need a downline or have to recruit anyone to be successful. Often you can start for free with bonus money from the site. Just surf your sites and you get paid. Of course scammers and con artists are always seeking to part us from our hard earned money so one must be careful even in this arena. Some sites disappear and in my case it's always when I am just about due for payout. After that happens a few times you become a little bit more cautious about where you put your money.

12daily pro has been a good story for me. I was a little leery at first becuase of the high percentage. Most sites that promise a high percentage don't last long as they are usually backed by forex and other risky investments. It takes a keen investor to stay on top in those markets and sometimes investments are lost forcing even reputable programs to shut down. I was also a bit bit leery about putting up my own money albeit only $6 to get started. However, since taking that leap of faith I have been rewarded every time. 12daily pro is paying me just like they said and for only surfing 12 sites a day(about 6 minutes a day).

September Wrap-Up

September has typically been a good period for marketers and I usually do better as well...(lol). My direction in September was to become more focused. I took a real serious look at what businesses I was promoting and started "downsizing". The first cut was those that I just no longer wanted to promote. Next were those that had been in my portfolio for a while and hadn't generated any profits. By the third cut I was down to those that I want to go forward with.

Now, what does this tell me. DO NOT make the mistake of having TOO many irons in the fire. I realize I wasted a lot of time and effort on things I really wasn't interested in or were not making any profits for me. That being said here is how September has panned out for me.

Autosurfers- [ Have been a godsend for me to increase cash flow but be careful. There's a new one every day so look out for scams. I stay with the larger ones.]

I belong to about 20 of them but earned payments in September from these. Hope to have more next month.

Paid To CLick. [ I dropped most of these as it was taking way too long to reach payout.]

Empowerism- Resource and training site. Has a leads and advertising program that you can earn from if you are not in hurry. I am waitng on about $1000 in potential earnings.
Cash Flow PC---Still in the the pre-launch phase. I've got too much invested to forget about it.

My Losers- [ Had to junk these as they were not making me a profit or taking up too much of my time for far too little profit]

Body Extreme - Just not interesting anymore. Been there done that...no profit.

As most people in my generation would attest, you have to go pretty far not to at least have heard that phrase. Unlike the death of Deforest Kelly ( Dr. McCoy), I heard of James Doohan's passing first hand. By contrast I read about Kelly passing in TV Guide severely after the fact. Despite the rise of the new shows I will always remember that quirky engineer from what I consider the best of the franchise- Star Trek- TOS. And here's to you Mr. Scott- may you find happiness in the "final frontier".

Lesson: Every one is a friend when things are going good

Someone once said that in "good times we have a lot of friends. In bad times we find out who are friends really are." Accept this now as a truism. Don't wait to find out the hard way.

Over time I've been in "business" with more than a few internet "friends". I use the term loosely since a little adversity has allowed me to identify those who are and those who aren't.

You see when times were good and money abounded I was always getting calls. "Do me a favor, I'm in a new program... just need one more to qualify etc., etc... join this program for me and I'll return the favor one day." Of course being a friend and wanting to see that person succeed in most cases I would do so. In either case, I would at least evaluate the program to see it's worthiness to me. If it looked like it could be something, I would join for the friend's sake. Sometimes we made made money sometimes we didn't. However, I have always tried to support those who I was in business with. Lately, I've asked some of those same people to join me in a "free" venture and very few have stepped up to the plate. I now know who my true friends are.

The lesson here is that if you spend your hard earned money to join a "friend's" program and then that friend will not even consider joining your free program-that person is NOT YOUR FRIEND. That person just wants to use you for your cash. The next time they ask you for a favor-politely tell them where to stuff it.

Well, Well, Wall, another season concludes for the NBA.
Although I would have preferred the Miami Heat, it was thrilling to watch the Spurs and Pistons duke it out.
There must be a lesson here.

Oh yea, keep the odds in your favor.

Very hard to do but the Pistons were a game lot. Sorry to see either team lose but that's why they call it the home court advantage. Spurs Rule in 2005!Duncan voted MVP of course.

Like many, I have been experiencing some low periods lately. No matter what I've been going through, it pales in comparison to the loss of a young life. If you haven't heard, Corey Rudl passed away on June 2. He and an associate were both killed when the Porsche they were driving crashed at a speedway in California.

Corey was a marketing guru who made over 7 million a year from his products. Hard to believe he was only 34 years old. Many of you have probably seen his products from the Internet Marketing Center.

Is there a lesson in his death? Perhaps. Maybe it cause the rest of us to reevaluate the true meaning of our own lives.

Mistake #3

One mistake I try to avoid is missing out on a good thing because of my skepticism. Yes, I've been burned many times. There's been times when I should have done more diligence and listened to my inner "scam alert". I always figure better safe than sorry when it comes to losing money. However, sometimes you just have to weigh the benefits against the risks to make your decision. Such was true of my recent experience.

To begin I was offered a chance to be early in an opportunity last month. I mean "mega early". Unfortunately, I let my skepticism win out when I should have just looked at the money to be made against the risk of a small one time outlay.

At first look, I decided it was "been there done that". The program looked very similar to a subscription based program that I was already in that has not started producing the kind of income I desire. I decided against it because I didn't want to tie up any more funds in programs that I felt would be slow in producing a profit for me.

However, when I was contacted again about this program after it had launched and saw the money that was being made, I quickly realized I had been the victim of my own short-sightedness. I missed out on some early money but I'm glad to say I saw the error of my ways and got on the bus.

From time to time I like to share opportunities that are working and ways to approach them. With the Super Bowl just concluded now is a good time to profile a great niche business- Crazy Sports.

I stumbled upon Crazy Sports by accident just from knowing someone who knew someone else. That happens sometimes for those of us who keep our nose to the ground sniffing for new business. I was lucky enough or unlucky enough to find it in prelaunch. I say that because at that early stage you always have to take the good with the bad. So, for example, if you are a Packer fan living in Tampa Bay you don't have to suffer searching aimlessly at the local mall for a nonexistant Brett Favre jersey.

Crazy Sports has an excellent attached business opportunity but I recommend this company more for its retail sales aspect. You can actually join the opportunity as A Free Agent for free. If you are one of those who wants to buld a sales team you can choose to upgrade to Minor League or Major League player later. As a Free Agent you can earn a percentage of every sale through your unique sales url. Not a bad way to accumulate some easy income for those looking for a solid business.

Mistake #2

The second major mistake I made as an internet marketer was one you should seriously try to avoid. It is called Program Hopping. I don't want to confuse this with a similar but more profitable approach called Multiple Streams of Income.

What is the difference? Simply a matter of perception and of course profit. As a program hopper, I went from opportunity to opportunity making very little if any income. I would spend a lot of money to get started, get on autoship, stockpile product, etc. I would make a serious attempt at promoting the program, get frustrated, and then quit because I wasn't making any money. I would then hop to the next big "can't miss" opportunity hoping to again make my fortune. This cycle continued until I ran out of money and was ready to give up on internet marketing period. Sound familiar?

Compare this with the person who chooses to build multiple streams of income. This person first finds a suitable opportunity. This may involve a little trial and error hence the similarity with program hopping. However, unlike the program hopper, this person learns what it takes to build a business. Building a business is more than just making a quick profit. It's about building and supporting a team who in turn sustain your ongoing profits.

Once the first business is built and going strong the next opportunity is approached in the same way. While the program hopper is still bouncing from bizop to bizop, the other person is not only making a profit but building another source of income in a second business. It is not a wonder that an estimated 90 percent of internet marketers will not make a profit. Most of us are just "hopping" around leaving mega profits for the other 10 percent who committed to building a business the right way.

My advice. Take the time and learn about internet marketing. Learn how to market online as well as offline. Learn how to support and build the people beneath you. Together we can all achieve great things. Alone we run the risk of failure more often than not.

The Truth About Doublers

In 1919 Charles Ponzi invited business men and women to invest in his business and promised to double their money. Returns were guaranteed. Charles Ponzi recruited new investors and used their funds to pay earlier investors. Unsustainable, the business eventually collapsed leaving a great number of people with nothing to show for the funds they had committed. Charles Ponzi was imprisoned and from that day, scams that mimicked this approach became known as ‘ponzi schemes’.

In more recent times, many of these types of schemes go by the name of ‘Doublers’, ‘Triplers’, 'Bubbles', 'Cyclers', 'Gifting' and other variations. When this article uses the term ‘Doubler’ it is referring to a scheme that operates in the same way as a ‘ponzi’ scheme. However, this article is not suggesting that all schemes including the name ‘Doubler’ are ponzi schemes.

If you have joined, or are considering joining, a money doubler program, study it carefully to see if it operates as a ponzi scheme.

Some ponzi schemes provide you with a product or service in exchange for your investment in a bid to achieve the appearance of legitimacy. Don’t be fooled! If a program promises all investors a complete return on their investment without limiting the number of applicants, this program is almost certain to collapse.

Legitimate enterprises will limit the number of investors or require members to achieve their own sales. A legitimate enterprise will never guarantee a profit.

Illegal
The laws of the country you live in may prohibit running, or investing in, a ponzi scheme. Owning a ponzi scheme, investing in a ponzi scheme or permitting a ponzi scheme to be promoted through your website or advertising network, may be illegal.

Remember, ponzi schemes rarely use the word ‘ponzi’ in their name. ‘Doubler’, ‘Tripler’, ‘Cycler’ are all common euphemisms for this kind of operation. Before investing in any program, examine it carefully to see how income will be generated.

If you knowingly involve yourself with a ponzi scheme, you run the risk of losing your investment, damaging your reputation, or even legal action.

Immoral
The modern Internet Marketer may well be familiar with Doubler programs and how they operate.

Some Internet Marketers have written ill-advised articles that demonstrate the best way to profit from money doubler programs without losing your investment. Usually this runs along the lines of ‘join a program early and withdraw your funds before the program collapses’, effectively using Doublers as a form of gambling.

Putting aside the obvious financial risks of such an approach, this view selfishly ignores the large number of people who will lose their investment from the program.

When a Doubler program collapses, everyone who invested last loses their investment. In some cases this can affect hundreds or even thousands of people. Sadly, many of these will assume that it was the individual program, rather than the concept, that was to blame and will try again with a new program.

It doesn’t take a mathematical genius to work out that if you put any number in a calculator and multiply the result by 2 over and over, the number grows exponentially. Even the most avidly promoted Doubler will collapse when the number of new investors required to sustain the program becomes unachievable.

If you are tempted to speculate on these programs, please remember this one important point:

The money you receive comes ultimately

from the people that lose their investment

And, unlike gambling, many of these people were unaware that their investment was at risk.

If you involve yourself with a Doubler program with full knowledge of how they work, you are giving your approval to a fraudulent operation that is tantamount to theft.

Would you steal your neighbours television set because they accidentally left their front door unlocked? Would you knowingly purchase stolen goods?

If your answer is ‘Yes’ then this article probably means nothing to you. If the answer is ‘No’ then ask yourself why you would give your approval to a Doubler program.

If you are intelligent enough to understand how Doublers work, you are intelligent enough to make an honest income online.

Build your own website. Provide an online service. Sell affiliate products. There are a vast number of legitimate business opportunities available to you without resorting to the underhand tactics used by operators of Doubler programs.

If this article can persuade even a few people to leave these programs alone, then it will have been worthwhile.

As I mentioned before doublers can make you money. But what happens if you get into one that fails or isn't exactly kosher. There may be a way to recoup "some" of your investment.

First, depending on how you made your original investment get a copy of how much you sent and who you sent it to.

Send the Admin of the program an email asking to have your money refunded. Sometimes it is just a matter of the program stalling and the Admin may return part or all of your investment. In other cases the Admin may be behind several programs and using a fraudulent email. You may have to search around for a valid email. Sometimes you can get it from the domain information at WHOIS.

If you are unsuccessful in finding the Admin and getting him or her to refund your money then you must be prepared to file a complaint.
Perhaps you may eventually get your money back but if not, at least you have placed this person/program on the record as being a ripoff. That in itself may save others from being scammed again in the future.

These 5 options are valid when trying to get your money back from any vendor or program on the internet.

1. If you paid by Paypal, Stormpay, Intgold, eGold,
etc. file a request for a charge back thru them.

2. File thru your respective bank.

3. File thru your credit card company.

4. File a complaint thru http://www.fraud.com/

5. File a complaint thru your city, state, or federal
government offices and fraud divisions of various law enforcement agencies including Postal inspectors.

I have been successful a few times in getting my money back from a failed MLM. Usually it's just a matter of being persistent. However, I have also seen my hard earned cash "fly the coop" never to be seen again. It's a crapshoot at best. There is one thing for sure: "if you don't try to get it back... you never will".

There have always been programs that make claims such as "no sponsoring or recruiting required","we do all the work", "make oodles of cash", etc., etc. In the past, I myself,joined now defunct programs like GMT(Get Moving Today) and FNI (Freedom Network International) with hopes of making a lot of money. Both hyped making money without sponsoring and brought in thousands of people. Ultimately, I was left high and dry along with many other disgruntled patrons. I did manage to make a profit with a smaller program called the The 7th Phase which tried valiantly to continue after the demise of the bigger programs.

"7th phase" recently shut down when the owner determined he could no longer compete within the "tainted environment" left by GMT and FNI. He was honest and I salute his effort. However, people were quite skeptical after getting burned by GMT and FNI. It's a shame that the good guys have to suffer while the scam artists continue to proliferate and invent new ways to get your money.

The recent rise of doubler programs provides a great example of why you should do your homework before jumping into any new program. A lot of people have already been burned by the collapse of a few doubler programs. Perhaps this will help you avoid the same fate.

Doublers operate on the principle of returning double your investment after a period of time. The money you invest is put into a straight line matrix and when enough funds enter the matrix your investment cycles returning double the amount to you. Sounds simple enough.

The danger with doublers is that unless the program is tied to a "legitimate" renewable product it will eventually slow to a point of failure leaving behind a lot of "undoubled" and forfeited cash . That currently is the case with more than a few doubler programs. Had the investors crunched the numbers they would have seen it coming.

Don't misunderstand me. Doublers Do Make Money!. Get in early enough and you can make a lot of money. If and only if the program is legitimate you will continue to make money for years to come. Just know what you are getting into. For those wishing to try one I can only offer these guidelines:

1. Programs must have a legitimate renewable product. Something that people will continue to buy like leads or advertising. Not some one time purchase item or ebook.

2. Know who you are dealing with. Anyone can buy a doubler script for under $300 nowadays and start a program. Make sure they are reputable.

3. Have a success strategy. Try to get your original investment back as soon as possible and then use your profit to continue. Even if the program fails you won't have risked anything.

4. Never risk more than you can afford to lose and don't tie up needed cash. It may take days, weeks or months your reach payout. Don't risk the rent money!

5. Be alert for signs of trouble. It is normal for cycle times to increase as more people invest. However, if the company starts running "cycling specials" that is a strong sign of impending shutdown. The owners are trying to get as much money as possible before making their getaway.

There are a few trustworthy doubler programs out there that should be around for years to come. One is the RSVP program run by Empowerism. Cycle times are currently around 50-60 days but don't fret about that. It is still quicker than your bank don't you agree. The only drawback is that you have to be a member to participate. Membership is by subscription and costs $19.99 a month. However, an Empowerism membership is well worth the cost as they offer some of the best leads, business tools and online training. Such things are must have resources for anyone seeking to make a profit online.

My First Mistake

My first mistake in trying to build an online business was to "believe the hype".

Like most novices, I would see the "get rich quick sign" and ...SHAZAM... there I was... joining up,doling out cash, and expecting to make a lot of big money in return. Months or sometimes a year later I was still shelling out cash but making little or no income.

This cycle repeated itself over and over until my lack of cashflow forced me to take a serious look at myself. "WHAT WAS I DOING WRONG?", I asked myself.

The biggest thing I was doing wrong was believing the hyped up claims and not taking the time to do the math. You can save yourself a lot of headache and cash by just crunching the numbers. For example, if the claim says "make $5000 a day with our matrix" don't just assume you or anyone else will get to that point. That matrix might pay $5000 a day but it may take several hundred or several thousand people in your downline to get to that point. Look at the figures and run the numbers for yourself.

There is also one figure I never knew about when I first started on the internet. A whopping 90% of people will fail. Why do I leave you with such a dreary thought? Perhaps it will spur you to avoid becoming a part of that group who fails. I would surmise that the majority of those who fail do so because they don't take the time to learn how to succeed. It's easier for them to go from program to program hoping that a bogus claim will true.

It's ironic, but if people spent more time on learning to be successful the 90% failure rate would turn into a 90% success rate.

Think about it - is your job ever going to make you rich? You and I both know you could work your fingers to the bone at even the best J.O.B. and you would never get rich. You might make a lot more money, but in the process you'd be giving up life's most precious commodity - time! Your time for their money will never make you rich! I know of a lot of people who make over a $100,000 a year but work 12-15 or more hours a day, seven days a week. Is that really rich?Divide what they make by the number of hours they work and you may be surprised at thier "hourly" wage. Ownership is the key. Even the big wigs who pull down those multi-figure salaries usually own a part of the company thru shares,stock options, etc.

I read somewhere once that at least 80% of all millionaires are self-made? That is, they started with nothing but ambition and energy, the same way most of us start. What is the difference between them and us? I choose to believe there is no difference, only a decision to actively control one's own destiny. Will I ever become a millionaire? I sure plan to and if I fail it certainly won't be for lack of trying.

A New Name ...A New Direction

I've decided to go in a new direction. The blog has been renamed to "Ledon's Blog " and will concentrate more on business and online marketing. Stay tuned as it going to be very informational.
